At Applebee’s in Port St. Lucie, there’s interesting sports and entertainment memorabilia on the walls, and neon beer signs and flat-screen TVs in the bar area.
Appetizers, soup, salads, sandwiches, burgers, pasta, seafood, chicken, ribs, steak, desserts.
Warm, inviting sports bar and restaurant, with rich wooden booths and high-top tables. You can always count on delicious food at this chain, and our local eatery just added a large outside patio that adds a tropical new twist to chain dining.
OUR FAVORITE FOOD/PRICE
My family ordered an appetizer of spinach dip ($7.99) while we studied the extensive, albeit familiar, menu. The creamy spinach and artichoke dip was topped with melted Parmesan cheese and served with freshly made white corn tortilla chips and chipotle lime salsa. It was a delicious marriage of flavors and textures, and a perfect way to start the night. I ordered a whisky bacon burger ($11.99), a creation that sounded too intoxicating to pass up. Caramelized onions and bacon are seared into an all-beef patty piled with pepper jack cheese, crispy onions, bacon and Fireball Whisky steak sauce on a brioche bun. I savored every decadent bite.

Our waitress was very good and filled most requests promptly.
We were among the only diners outside on a cool weeknight recently, and it was fairly quiet.
Children have a lengthy menu from which to choose, including cheeseburgers, chicken mac and cheese, grilled cheese, chicken tenders, grilled chicken sandwiches, pizza, corn dogs, fried shrimp, steak, quesadillas and desserts.
