Prior to joining Doherty Enterprises as an MIT in 2015, Barbara worked for 19 years with HSM Host where she became Director of Operations. During her tenure, she oversaw several concepts including Sbarro, Cinnabon, Starbucks, and Burger King. Needless to say, Barbara brought a great deal of industry experience and continues to bring fresh ideas and insights to improve operations.
Barbara completed her MIT training in Parsippany. After graduating MIT she joined the East Hanover team where she had an immediate impact on Gift results. Additionally, Barbara impacted bar sales while lowering costs and helped cultivate a strong team. She was transferred back to Parsippany and also had a positive impact.
Her work ethic and attention to detail was a perfect fit for the training restaurant. Barbara takes personal ownership for all results. Guest Metrics, sales, and profitability have been a consistent strength. Barbara has contributed to several 900 SPA's along with solid Ecosure Audit results. She leads by example daily and challenges the entire team to be the best they can be. High overall satisfaction and low defection scores have helped improve comp sales. As bar manager, she improved bar operations and helped bar sales continue to exceed budget all year. Barbara displays a strong balance between the kitchen and front of the house operations. During her time with Doherty, Barbara has developed into a very rounded and impactful manager.
