Dear Donor,

I am a "Self-Advocate" for Down Syndrome Association of Central New Jersey. I am 21 years old and I have Down Syndrome. I would like to thank you very much for supporting our organization, and World Down Syndrome Day as we celebrated with our 5th Annual Rock Your Socks Off Dance and Silent Auction fundraiser. Your donation helps us purchase educational material that we distribute to health care providers so they can become more knowledgeable about Down Syndrome. We provide fun activities for our members such as picnics, parties, cooking classes, art classes, and parents/guardians night out activities. My favorite DSACNJ activity is the annual Halloween party.

It's donors like you who make DSACNJ what it is and help it become all that it can be.

Dear Ms. Pattman:

This year we celebrated our sixth annual Miles for Michael Run/Walk event, and it proved once again to be a resounding success! With registrants from all parts of Long Island and beyond, we were truly able to display an amazing example of community spirit. This year's sponsorship program was the most successful it has ever been. We had a warm day with plenty of sunshine, which brought out record-breaking crowds, both as participants and supporters throughout the morning. The very best of South Huntington continues to shine brightly through this wonderful, annual tradition.

You shared in a large part of that success thanks to your generous contribution to the South Huntington Educational Foundation for this worthy cause. Because of your generosity, SHEF raised more funds in the last five years than any other fundraiser in their history, with 100% of those funds benefiting district Art, Music & Dance programs. Please know that your support allows our students the benefit of enriched programs and travel opportunities that might not otherwise be possible. It is your appreciation of the Arts and your dedication to the South Huntington Community that really help our children shine.

We are excited as we look forward to an even bigger and better event in spring 2020 and hope that you will be able to join us again!

On behalf of the district administration, race coordinators and myself, please accept our thanks for your heartfelt consideration and generous contribution.

Dear Alexandra Crujeiras,

Thank you so very much for the generous sponsorship donation in suppor of MyGOAL Autism Annual Bowling for Autism held on April 27, 2019. With over 120 registered bowlers and participants, the event was truly a great success.

The support of Applebees enables us to continue to provide the education, connections, resources and hope to the individuals and families coping with Autism worldwide. Over 10 years, we have supported over 90 families with $90,000 in grants. Additionally, we have engaged professionals to provide training and resources to families through our monthly support group and stress management program activities. These programs have reached over 10,000 people in the tri-state areas.

The prevelence rate of Autism in recent years continues to rise and with the most recent statistics indicating 1 in 59 children are diagnosed. This means more and more families have to deal with the challenges of the Autism journey. We truly hope we can count on your support as we continue to bridge the gap that keeps increasing between resources and the families who are unable to access them. Once again, thank you so very much for your support!

Dear Ms. Crujeiras,

We would like to say a big THANK YOU to you for supporting the seventh Annual Pet Event: TD Bank's Paws For A Cause - Dog Fashion Show & Adoption Event.

Your generous sponsor is much appreciated. The proceeds will help end the cycle of violence right here in our communities. Because of partners like you, to date we have helped hundreds of pets gain safety in addition to our services providing support, healing and prevention to adults and children affected by family violence.

On behalf of myself, our staff, the clients we serve, and everyone who came out to enjoy the event you helped make happen, thank you for your support.

Sincerely,

Colleen Merlo, LMSW

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Doherty:

"At the Mind Body Spirit Breakfast, I met a ton of women role models. One woman started her own candle business that is very successful. Another was an author and it was inspiring that she took her negative experience and turned it into a positive. These women helped me believe that anything is possible for a young girl like me." -Kayla R. '19

The 4th Annual Link Women's Committee Mind, Body and Spirit breakfast held on March 29, 2019 delivered a keynote speaker and workshops that inspired Kayla, the women who attended and the other young female Link Community Charter School scholars who joined them. Kayla's words demonstrate the impact opportunities such as this can have on Link students, exposing them to role models, such as entrepreneurs and authors, and helping them believe in the limitless potential they possess.

Your generous support helped make the event a success and ensures Link Education Partners continues to deliver programs for Link students that inspire and equip them with the skills to realize their dreams. It is programming like this that educates the minds as much as it educates the hearts of the 296 young men and young women we serve each year.

Your donation makes certain we can launch scholars such as Kayla for future success. Thank you for supporting Link Education Partners and we look forward to your continued involvement.

With gratitude,

Maria Pilar Paradiso

Dear Alexandra,

"The most worth-while thing is to try to put happiness into the lives of others" Lord Robert Baden-Powell, Founder of Scouting...

And with your generous gift to our 2019 Friends of Scouting Campaign, you have put happiness into the life of a Scout and we cannot thank you enough. With your support, along with the guidance of 2,000 volunteers, Jersey Shore Council prepares more than 6,000 children for a better life through our quality program emphasizing character, leadership and positive achievement.

But just how does Scouting affect young people? National studies show that children who are in Scouts outperform their classmates. In fact, children who were in Scouting five years or longer are more likely to...

  • Graduate from high school
  • Attend, and graduate from, a four-year college
  • Earn higher household incomes
  • Have higher rates of home ownership
  • More likely to get involved in their faith, and in their community
  • Are more likely to have a stable and fulfilling home life
  • Consistently report making the correct (as opposed to the easiest) decision

We know Scouting's impact is unique for each boy and girl, and because of your support they have a larger chance at a better life. On behalf of all of us at the Jersey Shore Council, thank you again for participating in our Friends of Scouting Campaign and we truly appreciate your generosity.

Yours in Scouting,

Kim Potter

Dear Mr. Doherty,

On behalf of the Hackensack University Medical Center Foundation, I want to thank Donegal's Irish Pub LLC for the recent gift towards Tackle Kids Cancer. As Hackensack University Medical Center continues to evolve as a national healthcare leader, the need for support continues to grow.

Your donation allows us to define the future of medicine by accepting new challenges, advancing clinical research, and educating the medical leaders of tomorrow. We would not be able to achieve this without your commitment.

Thank you again for your generosity and support.

Sincerely,
